Privacy Policy: Ido Converter

1. Our “Privacy-First” Architecture

Ido Converter is designed to protect your sensitive documents. We follow a Data Minimization principle: we only process the data strictly necessary to convert your file, and we do not store it a second longer than required.

2. File Processing: Local vs. Cloud

To give you full transparency, we categorize conversions into two types:

• On-Device Processing (Offline): Most conversions (e.g., Image to PDF, Text to PDF, basic resizing) happen entirely on your device. These files never leave your phone and are never uploaded to our servers.
• Cloud Processing (Secure Transit): Highly complex conversions (e.g., large video transcoding or AI-based OCR) may require our secure high-speed servers.
  • Encryption: Files are sent via SSL/TLS encrypted tunnels.
  • Auto-Purge: Files are automatically deleted from our servers immediately after the conversion is complete.
  • Zero Logs: We do not keep logs of file names or content.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

In compliance with the DPDP Act 2023/2026, we do not collect:

• Personal Identifiers: No name, email, or phone number is required to use Ido Converter.
• File Metadata: We do not track what you are converting or who the files belong to.
• Usage Profiling: We do not track your conversion habits to build a marketing profile.

4. Permissions Disclosure

To function correctly, the app requires the following:

• File Access (Storage): To select the file you want to convert and save the output.
• Internet Access: Strictly for cloud-based conversions (if selected) and checking for security updates.
• Camera (Optional): Used only if you use the “Scan to Convert” feature.

5. Compliance with Global Cyber Laws

• India (DPDP Act): You are the “Data Principal.” Since we do not store your personal data, your right to “Correction and Erasure” is inherently respected.
• EU (GDPR): Digifluence acts as a “Data Processor.” We process your files only based on your direct instruction to convert them.
• California (CPRA): We do not “sell” or “share” your personal information or file data.

6. Retention Policy

• Local Files: Controlled by you.
• Cloud Buffer: Deleted within 60 minutes of conversion to ensure you have time to download the result, after which it is wiped from our RAM/Storage.
